Whereas process improvement trends come and go, innovative companies are turning to longer-term, strategic initiatives that manage end-to-end processes and improve operational results, including: reduced costs, increased quality, enhanced customer service, and accelerated innovation.

Through the Process Management Research Center, companies, thought leaders, and process experts explore results-oriented practices and innovation in process management that are critical in today’s global environment.

Specifically, companies tackle both traditional process opportunities (e.g., making process more efficient, manageable, and organizationally aligned), and new challenges brought by today’s wired and global environments:

  • Redesigning processes to align with a rapidly changing, global marketplace
  • Finding the right balance between new and existing processes
  • Outsourcing processes to third parties and low wage countries (i.e., offshoring)
  • Introducing new business process management tools
