Working Knowledge Research Center

Today’s leading companies know that valuing knowledge as an organizational asset can lead to significant competitive advantage. For all companies, current and upcoming business realities are causing knowledge management to rise as a critical business priority, including:

  • A huge knowledge gap created by an aging workforce ready to retire
  • The importance of collaboration, social networking, and new modes of communication
  • The complexities of operating in a global marketplace with worldwide customers, vendors, and employees
  • Increased competition and the need to leverage knowledge as a key differentiator

Through the Working Knowledge Research Center, organizations access the latest trends and best practice tools for managing and integrating knowledge within their organizations. The member companies of this research consortium also learn practical ways to develop, manage, and improve the efforts of knowledge workers as individuals and groups.

Research topics are determined through a collaboration of member companies, thought leaders, and experts. We generally examine four or five critical working knowledge topics per year.
